Potty Humor

(Names have been changed to protect the identities of the innocent.)

I had lunch with two girlfriends, "Lucy" and "Charlotte," today. The conversation ranged from places to dance and what we did last night, to trips we want to take this summer and in the future. And then, it turned to bowel movements. Yes, I said bowel movements.

For some of us, these "movements" don't come easily. Or often. (Although, I feel quite certain that there aren't too many men who have trouble in this area.) Charlotte, Lucy, and I were discussing the foods that can help - apples, coffee, oat bran muffins, plums, prunes, lettuce (you know, roughage), etc. (Can you name other foods that help?)

As we were talking, I got to thinking about how many of my conversations in the last month have focused on bodily fluids of some kind. Even as a 30-something, self-professed "Princess," I still think fart jokes are funny. I enjoy discussing bathroom habits. I like "potty humor."

During my vacation in Europe a few weeks ago, I can't tell you how many of our breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even snack conversations revolved around some sort of bodily fluid. Yet, while highly inappropriate and immature, they made for some great inside jokes and lots of laughs.

And now we have come to the part in the blog where I make a confession. I brought this up at lunch today, and Lucy said it was the funniest thing she's heard in a while. So, here goes....

Sometimes, when I'm having trouble, well, "going," I talk to my mom on the phone. I don't know if just chatting with her relaxes me, or exactly what it is about talking to dear ol' Mom on the phone that works like a charm but, most of the time, it does. (Hey, don't knock it until you've tried it. Would you like my mom's phone number? That will be $5, please.)

Well, I think that's about enough blogging for today. If you have potty humor or potty stories to share, please do so ASAP, so that I feel slightly less embarassed.

Love y'all, Princess Cyndi

Hey, when you say apples are good, does that include apples with Nutella?

You know me, I’m always up for a little potty humor. Can we discuss Andy's fast and cleansing a little more??? BTW I love that book, when I was "working" at the Tech Bookstore it kept us very busy. It's a good one. HUGS!

No lie, same thing happens when I talk to my mom AND my sister says the same thing too. Weird! Oh and I'm not above a little or a lot of potty humor. Remember that poster that described the different, ummm, kinds of poop. Hilarious!

You're too much! I think I am that person (like your mom) for a couple of people. At least they feel the need to share that they have to get off the phone to go to the bathroom when I call. I'm taking it as a good sign after reading your blog! I love it!
